St. Pierre Visits Universal's Diagon Alley

  •
A nice billboard in the Orlando airport to welcome people.
  •
Some nighttime shots of one of Diagon Alley's most popular attractions...the dragon on Gringott's
  •
  •
The dragon breathes fire every so often.
  •
The people at Universal Studios thought of everything including beverages that characters drank in the books/movies.
  •

A goblin statue outside Gringott's Bank

  •
  •
Dragon selfie. It had to be done.
  •
If you keep your eyes open while walking around the park, you just might find some hidden goodies. Like Tom Riddle's journal I saw in Borgin and Burkes.
  •
The Night Bus sits right outside Diagon Alley
  •
Be careful when you visit because Diagon Alley is disguised. Just like in the books, you need to enter in through a "secret" door. The outside is set up to look just like King's Cross Station in London.
  •
Looks like an owl on his way to Hogwarts.
  •
Travel inside King's Cross and you can catch the Hogwarts Express to visit Hogsmeade in Universal's other Harry Potter themed area.
  •
  •
My family purchased a Harry Potter visit package and we were welcomed in our hotel room by an owl with a letter.
  •
My sister was ready for our first full day at the park with this handmade t-shirt.
  •
Yeah, we got there so early it was still dark out.
  •
The first thing you see when walking in is Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, the joke shop owend by Ron Weasley's twin brothers.
  •
Of course there's a store where you can pick up all your necessary quidditch gear.
  •
  •
The dragon really looks spectacular in the daytime.
  •
The stores looked perfect and were so cleverly designed.
  •
Even wall paintings were put up to make Diagon Alley look as realistic as possible.
  •
  •
You have to make a stop for Butterbeer. The frozen Butterbeer is delicious.
  •
I could totally use a house elf. They were closed when I stopped by to register for one.
  •

The sign hanging as you walk into the line at Harry Potter and the Escape From Gringott's
  •
The following photos were taken while we waited in line to get on the Gringott's ride.
  •
My sister needed a photo, naturally.
  •
    The goblins looked so realistic
  •
    They moved, too.
  •
Universal thought about just about everything.
  •

    Here's a vault at Gringott's
  •
  •
Family photo the second time we went through for the ride.
  •
Some newspapers from the Gringott's line.
  •
In all my years going to theme parks, I've NEVER experienced a ride like Escape From Gringott's. It was the most incredible attraction I've ever been on. It far exceeds any expectations I had and is worth the price of admission all by itself.
  •
We had to get some food at the Leaky Cauldron.
  •
  •
Lovely family photo in front of the dragon.
  •
Some of the fun things you can find in Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes
  •
  •
The owls are ready to be sent out to deliver letters.
  •
  •
Station wagon style brooms for witch families? What will they think of next?
  •
  •
  •
  •
All of the shops from the books were included.
  •
I thought this was a pretty nice view of Diagon Alley all packed with people.
  •
Another family photo...although this one didn't come out great due to the sun.
  •
  •
If you stick around long enough, this snake will speak to you in parseltongue.
  •
They even have a special area dedicated to Knockturn Alley. Unfortunately it's super dark in there so I couldn't get any great pictures.
  •
They have a new feature there that involves "magic" wands. You can get a special wand that, when waved in front of certain things, will cause a reaction. For example, this umbrella starts dripping water whenever someone waves one of the wands around it. It's pretty awesome.
  •
The Butterbeer ice cream is INSANELY good. I couldn't get enough of it.
  •
  •
  •
  •
Need a magic wand? Olivander's can help.
  •
This is one of the top attractions at the park.
  •
    Look at all those wands!!!
  •
Watch out for owl poop if you head in this room.
  •
This store can help you will all your cauldron needs.
  •
  •
  •
    This way to Knockturn Alley
  •
This is the view as you're heading out of Diagon Alley and back into the "real world."
  •
  •
    Quidditch supplies!!!
  •
  •
The Night Bus is another great feature of the park. If you make a visit there, make sure you stop to talk to the guys at the bus. You'll be happy you did.
  •
We had to make a trip to Hogsmeade via Hogwarts Express.
  •
  •
  •
  •
Hogwarts looks just as incredible now as it did 4 years ago when it opened up.
  •
  •
  •
They have different shows that go on every half hour.
  •
This show features the one and only Celestina Warbeck and her team of singers, the Banshees.
  •
  •
  •
  •
Yeah, that's me. I got picked out of the crowd to come up and be a part of the show.
  •
The other show going on while I was there involved a group of actors performing the story of the Deathly Hallows.
  •
  •
  •
They had these really cool puppets to act out the story.
  •
  •
My sister wanted to head into the Ministry of Magic.
  •
We must have tried to go when they were closed because I couldn't get in either.
  •
Mom and sister just before our last trip on the Hogwarts Express.
  •
The detail at this place is unreal.
  •
  •
This is just a photo but the actual Wanted poster for Bellatrix Lestrange moves just like in the movies.
  •
Had to end with some Butterbeer.
